Junior Officer’s Quarters, Butler’s Barracks

The Junior Commissariat Officer’s Quarters (c. 1816), is one of only four remaining 19th century military buildings that comprise Butler’s Barracks, a National Historic Site (NHS) owned and operated by Parks Canada, located in Niagara-on- the-Lake, Ontario.

Butler’s Barracks, which was designated as a national historic site in 1963 (Parks Canada 2007 Management Plan: 20), is one of several national sites marking the significant historical military presence in the defence of the Niagara frontier.
